PCV stand for Passenger Carrying Vehicle. Apart from these names, there is no difference between PSV and PCV licences. PCV licence is divided into the following categories such as - D, D+E, D1, and Cat D1+E. If you obtain your car licence after 1st January 1997. You can also drive a minibus on a car licence. But meeting the conditions that are listed below -
- Not towing a trailer.
- Driver age should be 21 years old.
- This means that the minibuses are being used in the UK, not overseas.
- Two years of driving experience is required of the driver.
Once you get your licence. After every 5 years, you go for a medical examination and undertake 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training.
