You can drive a PCV D1 minibus, bus, or coach with PCV driver training. You must have the temporary PCV entitlement, pass two theory exams, complete a driver education programme, and pass a practical driving test.
To be able to drive for pay, you must also pass CPC Modules 2 and 4. Driving a passenger-carrying vehicle with more than 16 seats requires a PCV D licence. To obtain your licence, you must appeal to the DVLA for the temporary entitlement to operate a PCV D vehicle, meet the higher medical requirements, and pass the PCV driving test. A PSV licence and a PCV licence have the same meaning, there is no variation between them! The terms "passenger carrying vehicle" (PCV) and "public service vehicle" (PSV) are recent EU terms.
